The 5 Week Program involves
Heart & Body inspired learning by using nature based social fitness, natural Health & well being. In cooperating the nutrition benefits of the Community Garden herbs & produce. With a facts & activity sheet to take home for each weeks topic.
Week 1 - What are the functions of my Skeletal system - with a ball sport class
Week 2- How does the Circulatory System work. - with Beach fitness run/walk. (7 minutes walk from the garden)
Week 3 - What does the Digestive System & nutrition do to me - with Yoga and making a nutritious juice from the garden.
Week 4 - What the Muscular System do when we move - with a Fun fitness obstacle course
Week 5 - What amazing things can a Nervous system do to my body from my senses- with Meal Planning & Pesto making from fresh herbs straight from the garden.
Extended 5 week program is optional.
Wk 6 - Foods & Me. Food groups - with Obstacle racing
Wk 7- Foods & Moods, energy & hormones - with Ball sports & classic Bag racing
WK 8 - Immunity & Healthy choices - with yoga & making vegetable skewers
Wk 9 - Iron, Calcium, Protein & me - with Beach obstacle course
Wk 10 - Changing Body, development & Self Esteem - with a classic Baton race
Enjoy coming together for a Home schooling Sports day Celebration - held on Tuesday the 26th of June 10 am -12. (Dollar Coin Donation for current program students) $18 for new participants on the day
With a sense of Fun, Friendships & Fitness.
The Sports Day event itself is about embracing participation, co ordination, health, joy, fun, social development, confidence & team spirit. It is not based on prizes. Therefore in the best interest of the children there will be no places of awarded. But a certificate for everyone child for their effort. A personal Reward will be their own satisfaction for learning, doing & trying. It will be a wonderful accomplishment for a child to just try without pressure, demand, self doubt or any sense of failure. For children just to discover the capabilities of their own Body & understanding the joy & benefits of physical movement & healthy eating choices.
Please have comfortable & breathable clothes, running shoes, sun protection & water.
